It is said that there is a very fine line between LOVE and hate. That is true if you are dealing with the worlds’ concept of LOVE, which is ownership rather than sufficiency. Many people believe themselves to be empty of LOVE. They then look for someone to LOVE them to fill the void. This creates attachment and whenever you are attached to someone and are depending upon them for your good, then you either hate or you LOVE in a leaning way. Apart of being authentic I have found is learning to listen deeply. Listen to the still small voice that guides and directs and sometimes, for me says “shut up.” I have had friends ask many times how to get their mind quiet or is there a moment when you think of nothing? The truth is the mind never goes quiet and thoughts are always active, always. However, is there a space when you can get still for but a few nanoseconds, absolutely!

I was in a group meeting some time last year when I found myself being completely triggered by what some one was saying. Immediately my ego flared up into judgment mode about this particular individual in the group. I was labeling them as insecure, having an agenda etc. Just to quote mildly. My mind rose with my own self defense mechanisms of intellectualizing – justifying my feelings.
