Love is perhaps the most universally recognized and most frequently misinterpreted of our spiritual powers or abilities. This is mainly because most people have a human interpretation of love rather than a divine interpretation. Most people equate love with an emotion. However, love is not an emotion; Love is a spiritual faculty or ability that is expressed through the feeling nature, just as emotions are. Many times, Love is surrounded by our emotions to the point where we have confused it with emotion. Therefore, there is the mistaken idea that love includes turbulence and stress. This is not true. Emotion can include turbulence and stress, but NOT love.

In this month’s newsletter I shared with you how our relationships are not outside of us but that they are inside us. This is the simple truth that we must recognize and accept. My true relationship is my relationship with myself – all others are simply a mirror of it~ Shakti Gawain. As I learn to love myself, I will automatically receive the love and appreciation from others that I desire. If I am committed to myself and the truth, I will attract others with equal commitment.

It is said that there is a very fine line between LOVE and hate. That is true if you are dealing with the worlds’ concept of LOVE, which is ownership rather than sufficiency. “The Object Of A New Year Is Not That We Should Have A New Year. It Is That We Should Have A New Soul”.~G. K. Chesterton
“The Real Voyage Of Discovery Consists Not In Seeking New Landscapes, But In Having New Eyes”.~Marcel Proust
We are almost at the end of the first month of the New Year. It seems like the older I get, I experience the years as flying by so quickly! I have done the resolutions thing and tried to remake the resolutions perhaps somewhere around April of each year. You know that month when you remember “oh, I did make a resolution.” But this year I decided to do things differently. I decided to allow, what I call my inner mind, to guide these resolutions. Charles and I at the end of 2012 went through our life structures and made a few goals for each area but individually I worked on my inner space and who I was being called to be.
