It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye. ~~ Antoine Saint Exupery, The Little Prince
Things aren’t always what they seem. Conditions and appearances may cloud our vision of the absolute truth of the life we are to experience. Leading us to form opinions and draw conclusions based upon the compelling but perhaps erroneous information that, at first glance, may appear as absolute reality.
When we view situations solely through intellectual processes, we might be led to making harsh judgments by using rigid and inflexible rules we have been taught and come to regard as law. This process may serve us in making simple decisions but reason must be tempered by the love, spirit and compassion that reside within each of us.

Love is perhaps the most universally recognized and most frequently misinterpreted of our spiritual powers or abilities. This is mainly because most people have a human interpretation of love rather than a divine interpretation. Most people equate love with an emotion. However, love is not an emotion; Love is a spiritual faculty or ability that is expressed through the feeling nature, just as emotions are. Many times, Love is surrounded by our emotions to the point where we have confused it with emotion. Therefore, there is the mistaken idea that love includes turbulence and stress. This is not true. Emotion can include turbulence and stress, but NOT love.

It is said that there is a very fine line between LOVE and hate. That is true if you are dealing with the worlds’ concept of LOVE, which is ownership rather than sufficiency. Many people believe themselves to be empty of LOVE. They then look for someone to LOVE them to fill the void. This month we spent our time focusing and going deeper in thought around Authenticity. We hope you found the meditations, blogs and daily illustrations uplifted your spirit and brought into your life true practical insights for your life. To remind you plain and simple Authenticity is about being yourself, your Best Self, at all times, in all circumstances, with everyone. You are the only one who is best at being you, so stop trying to be like someone else or what others want you to be so you can fit in. I once heard someone say, “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.”

The wildest part of this journey called life is the drive to discover this thing called YOU. It can prove to be the most painstaking process, yet exhilarating and expansive. This month we prepare to move into the exploration of the principle Authenticity. We endeavor to ponder deeply what practicing Authenticity means in our lives. I was knocked over the head while reading an article online recently, in fine prints, it read “you don’t go around trying to prove to other people who you are” and my inner voice continued “just be”.

I have a friend from High School that experiences panic attack to the point of going to the emergency room from time to time. Her panic attacks are induced by fear, what others thing about her etc… really she lives a life where she isn’t stepping on anyone’s toes. At the time when these episodes came about I wasn’t aware of the severity or nature of these episodes. I didn’t grasp the feeling tone or what was talking place with her, all that was beyond my understanding. Now, anything that happened in the group or individually she would be the first to say “I am sorry”…it was her nature, she explained to us on numerous occasions that she was raised to say I am sorry in the home.

Healthy, Inspiring & Purposeful people know that appreciation is the highest form of prayer, for it acknowledges the presence of good wherever you shine the light of your thankful thoughts. As we continue the preparation for feasts and festivities, let us pause to consider the invitation for transformation that the Thanksgiving Holiday offers us.
The moment one gives close attention to anything even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself – Henry Miller
This week I invite you to slow down and be grateful. This month when thanksgiving is a way of life, find the joy within and shout out in gratitude for indeed, God is here, right here, right now, inside each breath, loving YOU. Allow yourself to feel it. There is a blessing within the process if we allow ourselves to see it. It gives us time to pay attention to the blade of grass or tree branches against the sky and thereby move within and find the joys of Spirit.
