Gratitude is a fullness of heart that moves us through limitation to a space of expansion and love.

When we appreciate someone or something, our ego moves out-of-the-way, because we can’t have our attention on ego and gratitude at the same time. Just for a moment consider the things you have in your life that you could be grateful for. All the natural relationships, material comforts, your body and the mind that really allows you to understand yourself and everything around you. Breathe and be grateful for the air that’s filling your lungs and making your life possible. Feel your body and consider what a miracle it is simply to be alive, right now. Feel the love, compassion, and understanding that gratitude brings into your heart.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. -Harriet Tubman

This is a time of celebration! This is a time of renewal! This is a time of rebirth! It is a time to count the many ways we love whom we love. It is a time to bask resplendent in this love, to cherish and to feast, to praise and to exalt, to elevate and to celebrate. It is a time to rejoice, and above all, it is a time to behold! It’s a time to be generous.

“Let us live in the eternal presence of God’s happy smile…folded in the arms of Love forever” – Ernest Holmes

Ernest Holmes also said “the journey back (home) should be fraught with happiness and joyful expectation for we shall be met with a smile from the Universe and shall be folded in the arms of love forever.” I know that I am met in each and every moment with the open arms of God welcoming me home and I know I am home wherever I go. No matter how far I wander off from my center. How separate and apart I feel from the love of God I just turn my thoughts back to my heart, the home of God, my heaven in the midst of chaos and I know I am enfolded in Its loving arms.

In my reading last night from the book Happier than God by Neale Donald Walsch – he gave us 17 steps to Being what he coined as states that would make you Happier than God. Certainly such a title must be taken in context from which he spoke. What I would like to share with you though are the steps he shared. I found them to be so profound  and definitely useful as everyday practices. Whether you accept the ‘happier than God’ concept has no bearing on such practices. I have also provided a mini version on what each point means so that your own inner wisdom would provide you with insights. Here goes:

“To straighten the crooked you must first do a harder thing- straighten yourself.” This was the thought we used to start out the noonday meditation this week, just a little thought provoking statement that will hopefully get us all to turn within. It was the Buddhist that quoted – the mind composed of ignorance or wrong view suffers from spiritual disease, it sees falsely. Seeing falsely causes it to think falsely, speak falsely and act falsely. To me this solidify that we must first straighten out our minds.

If someone doesn’t have sense enough to turn on the dim and beautiful lights of love in this world, the whole of our civilization will be plunged into the abyss of destruction – M.L. King Jr.

So often it seems as if the world has turned off its light of love by engaging in acts of war and hatred towards each other. Just last week the incident in Aurora, Colorado shook the world to tears. The lights of love can seem so dim at times, yet there is that part of the world, that inner space that awaits the awakening of the bright lights of our love planet.

In the wake of the Colorado shooting, countless acts of heroism and bravery as slowly making its way into the news.

As 2011 comes to an end many people engage in a reviewing and renewing process. This process may consist of looking over our 2011 list or vision board to see what has actually been accomplished, experienced or still pending. It also includes looking forward to the next 12 months with great anticipation, desire and intention setting. This process is much different than goal setting and making a resolution.

For some of us this review, release and renew period is something done alone and for others it begin in a spiritual community with meditation, visioning, prayer, music, silence and the creation of their personal vision board. Personally I find this activity powerful as people come together and the collective consciousness ushers in individual revelations as the group engages in visioning for their 2012 life & beyond.

posted by | on Inspirational | Comments Off on Channel Your Holiday Spending Into Your Future Successes…H.I.P. Coaches…

The holidays are probably the few times when people collectively lose all sense about their finances, outside of purchasing a new home, planning for a wedding, and preparing for a new baby. Fortunately, holiday spending is where people can have a great amount of control over how much they choose to spend.

In fact, some people opt not to spend money for the holidays at all!

While most of us have no desire to go to that extreme, almost everyone can benefit from keeping a closer eye on holiday spending. Not only does holiday spending add up, it happens year after year – eventually accumulating into an avalanche of lost earnings.

Often people let excessive holiday spending sabotage their future successes. People often start the new year with credit card debt from the previous year’s shopping binge. Why set yourself up for a poor start and very little to show for it?

What if you could channel that money into more positive, lasting endeavors? What if you could use some of that money for experiences rather than stuff and holiday decorations that you’re only going to pull out for one or two months every year?

Aside from typical big life events, think of the ways that having a budget can help you with your future successes.
