Authenticity is about being willing to grow and change in order to be who you were born to be. To be willing to grow and change, your mind has to open and validate your quest. Authenticity is not for those who want to maintain the status quo. Our mind is an incredible instrument. It serves as a filter between your conscious and unconscious life, defining what is acceptable and real. If it happen to be filled with false ideas, limitations or fears about inner work, it will create a mental boundary and we can get stuck in non-growth. When my wife and I made the conscious choice to enter into a conscious relationship and eventually get married we surrendered to our Inner Beloved to express a relationship with a high calling. Relationships with high callings can develop in any facet of life.
Their hallmark is this: two or more people coming together to create a third or fourth or fifth something, which is inspired and serves more than their ego’s desires. On a deep level, they are committed, not only to each other, but to expressing the spiritual world.

When we appreciate someone or something, our ego moves out-of-the-way, because we can’t have our attention on ego and gratitude at the same time. Just for a moment consider the things you have in your life that you could be grateful for. All the natural relationships, material comforts, your body and the mind that really allows you to understand yourself and everything around you. Breathe and be grateful for the air that’s filling your lungs and making your life possible. Feel your body and consider what a miracle it is simply to be alive, right now. Feel the love, compassion, and understanding that gratitude brings into your heart.

You can’t prevent yourself or your partner from having an attraction to someone else.
Attraction is a natural part of life. It will happen. Energy is just energy. If you suppress that natural flow of attraction, what will often happen is that you will end up disconnecting from a part of yourself, which in turn affect the flow of chemistry between you and your partner.
If you let them know how you feel up front, they at least have a choice whether to continue in the relationship with you or not, rather than being there under false pretense. If you both agree to be monogamous and faithful to each other, then honor that commitment. But if it’s not your authentic truth and you are simply agreeing to what you think you should, then you are already being unfaithful to yourself and your partner.

A choice to cheat or a choice to live with integrity. Every relationship is the opportunity to practice integrity and to live your spirituality in everyday life. When you don’t honor what you truly feel or your deepest truth in a relationship, you cheat on yourself and this is when unfaithfulness begins.
